Mark Anderson (AKA Dad).

Mark has been creating ever since I can remember. He’s used his yard in Tampa, FL as an ever-evolving canvas, creating moments with found materials and new pieces out of cement. Sculpture has been part of his practice for decades. I first remember him carving faces into tall tiki planters or a sun-style wall hanging. He’s since moved to patinated copper and native woods, typically using found materials that he’s been given by friends or found on job sites.

Mark grew up in Fall River, MA until moving to Tampa where he met my mom and I was born. He loves cultivating his yard, being outdoors, creating for himself, scalloping and shrimping, fossil hunting, Budweiser, t-shirts, and his favorite public radio station 88.5. Mark doesn’t internet.
